Civic Shout is the easiest way to run a paid acquisition campaign to grow your opt-in email and SMS communities.

Unlike Facebook ads, you don’t need to worry about unpredictable costs or an absurdly-complicated ad creation and iteration process.

You can place an order and start acquiring new supporters for as little as $0.75 each in a matter of minutes. Learn more about pricing on our site.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Publish one or more petitions on Civic Shout. Your petitions can be part of an existing campaign or a new one (read more about our campaign-based design here)

  2. Upload your suppression file – it’s easy and secure 

  3. From your campaign dashboard, click the yellow "Place Order" button

  4. Enter your payment method, budget, and any geographical targeting preferences

  5. Click the Place Order button

Once you’ve taken the steps above, we’ll immediately start promoting your petition to like-minded activists and donors who aren’t on your suppression file. As people sign your petition(s) and opt-in to receive your emails, you’ll be able to access their contact information immediately.

What are the minimum and maximum budgets for boosted petitions?

The minimum boost is just $100 opt-ins and the maximum is $25,000.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes! You can cancel an order anytime without any penalty or fee. You'll only be liable for opt-ins that have already been fulfilled.

What signer contact information do I get?

When supporters opt-in to your email community by signing your Civic Shout petition with the opt-in checkbox checked, you’ll receive their first name, last name, email address, and zip code.

If they provided their cell phone number, you’ll receive that as well.

How long does it take for a Civic Shout order to be fulfilled?

Most partners all supporter info within three weeks of placing an order, often less if your suppression file is not huge. Larger orders, geotargeted orders and orders from partners with a large suppression file may take longer to fulfill. When will my card be charged for boosted petitions?

For the "pay as you go" base pricing tier, your credit or debit card on file will be charged after your order has been fulfilled, typically within two business days.

If you cancel an order, delete your account, or your organization is removed from Civic Shout, your credit or debit card will be charged for any outstanding balance at that time.

If you’ve made a bulk purchase for opt-ins in our $0.75-$1.00 tiers, you'll be charged either in full up front.
