We're excited to announce a new way we can fulfill your paid acquisition orders even faster than we usually do.

It’s called "Direct Send" – and it’s similar to the list rental model you may already be familiar with.

Here’s how it works:

  1. As always, you’ll publish a petition on CivicShout.com and upload or update your suppression file.
  2. You’ll boost your petition as you normally would by clicking the “Boost Petition” button on your petition dashboard and completing the form. As soon as you boost it, we’ll start generating some opt-ins by promoting it in our suggested petitions carousel.
  3. We’ll use your petition language to line up an email to Civic Shout’s in-house email list promoting the petition. Since this email comes from Civic Shout, and not from you, you won’t have the opportunity to preview, edit or approve this email before it goes out.
  4. Then, we’ll send traffic to your petition with a URL parameter in place that adds an opt-in checkbox to your petition. It will look just like what you see below, with your organization's name:

Direct Send is a great way for us to speed up the rate at which we send Democratic donors and progressive activists directly to your petitions, adding to the opt-ins you’re getting through our petition carousel.
